Jack, along with his son Chris, arrived in a sailboat at Ocean Reef, as a single parent, in 1984. Ed Price, the dockmaster at the time put Jack up for the night in the marina and, as they say, the rest is history.
Jack started Card Sound Yachts in 1989, as well as got involved with the real estate sales, and since that time has sold over a thousand boats and properties. Jack was one of the founding members of the Ocean Reef Rod & Gun Club, Bonefish Tarpon Trust and the Ocean Reef Conservation Association and is still on the boards of all three today along with being a committee member of the Reef Cup, Ocean Reef Advisory Council, the Ocean Reef Historical Society and Ocean Reef Foundation Gala Weekend.
Off the Reef, Jack serves on the boards the Wildlife Foundation of Florida and the Florida Keys Wild Bird Center, and on the advisory councils of the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary and the South Florida National Parks Trust.
